The lack of interoperability between independent and proprietary virtual worlds pose severe constraints on content distribution. Market and technology fragmentation now pose immense challenges to the long haul growth and viability of the virtual world industry.

DigiOne addresses the aforementioned platform by establishing convergence of the divergent, independent virtual world platforms into a common platform with single a point of access. This project will have important ramifications on the virtual world industry and will potentially establish the first standards for communication amongst virtual world platforms, and possibly the 3D Internet.
